KLAR ("KLAR", "we", "us") is a health and fitness app developed by KLAR team. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles and how. KLAR is built around a simple principle: your health data is processed on your own device and is never sent to us.
1. We do not operate servers for your health data. All HealthKit information KLAR reads — heart rate variability, resting heart rate, respiratory rate, sleep, workouts, VO2 max, body temperature, steps, and weight — is processed entirely on your device by KLAR's local calculation engine to produce your Recovery, Strain, Sleep, and Calorie scores and related insights. We do not run servers that receive, store, or process your health data, and we never sell or share it with anyone.
2. Health data we read and why. KLAR reads the metrics listed above only to calculate your scores and trends on your device. If you enable menstrual cycle tracking, KLAR also reads and uses cycle-related signals for the same on-device purpose. You choose what to grant in Apple's Health permission screen, and you can change it at any time.
3. iCloud sync (your account only). If iCloud is enabled on your device, a limited set of KLAR data that you create — your profile and settings, logged meals and weight, journal tags, water intake, and logged period days — syncs through Apple's CloudKit to your own private iCloud account so it is available on your other devices. This data lives in your iCloud, not with us; we have no access to it. Raw HealthKit data is never placed in iCloud by KLAR.
4. Optional weather and location. If you turn on the umbrella reminder, KLAR uses your device's approximate location, only while the app is open, to request a forecast from Apple's WeatherKit. Your location is used only for that forecast, is never used to track you, and is never sent anywhere except Apple's WeatherKit service. This feature is off by default.
5. Subscriptions and purchases. KLAR Pro subscriptions are sold by Apple and managed through RevenueCat, our subscription-infrastructure provider. When you view the paywall or make a purchase, the RevenueCat software receives anonymous App Store purchase information — the transaction and receipt, an anonymous identifier RevenueCat generates for your app installation, your app version, and your store country — so it can validate the purchase and unlock KLAR Pro across your devices. RevenueCat never receives your name, your contact details, or any of your health data, and it is used only to operate purchases and subscriptions. Payment is handled entirely by Apple; KLAR never sees or stores your payment card details. RevenueCat's own privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.
6. Performance diagnostics. KLAR uses Apple's anonymous, on-device diagnostic tools (MetricKit) to monitor performance and stability. We use no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking software of any kind.
7. No advertising, no tracking. KLAR contains no ads and no third-party trackers, and does not use the Advertising Identifier. We do not build user profiles for marketing.
8. Your control. You can review or revoke KLAR's Health access at any time in the Health app under Sharing. Deleting KLAR from your device removes everything it stored locally; data you synced to your private iCloud can be removed from iCloud settings. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings or from the Manage Subscription screen inside KLAR.
9. Children. KLAR is not directed to children and is intended for users aged [16] and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children. There is nothing dangerous for children, but for the purpose of better and accurate tracking 18+ recommended.
10. Changes. If we make a material change to this Policy, KLAR will ask you to review and accept the updated version before you continue using the app.
